Nothing floats either! However, our coke's been tested and we know it's not bunk. What could I be doing wrong in such a simple process? (mix the 4:1, dampen lightly using a tiny dropper to form a sludge, heat until simmers/forms 'bubble rocks', let cool, re-add a bit more water, swirl it over a bit of heat (for unknown time) and a rock should form at the bottom of the glass.
